If you’ve ever been through a water heater leak, you already know the answer to this question. You were coasting along and then one day…BAM!…you noticed water pooling around your water heater. What LeakGuard and LeakSense DoThe smart features are always on and watching for you. LeakSense detects a leak – large or small, internal or external1 – in as little as 15 seconds2. The EcoNet® app sends you an alert and now you can address the issue before it becomes a bigger issue. With LeakGuard, you don’t have to worry if you aren’t home when it happens because it has an auto-shutoff which limits leaks to no more than 20 ounces of water3. Units with LeakGuard include LeakSense.
Water Heaters with Leak Protection
The Rheem Smart Electric unit has LeakGuard. It also has other Wi-Fi connected smart features that you’ll enjoy. You can adjust temperature, check hot water availability, track energy usage and monitor element health. The Rheem ProTerra™ Hybrid Electric also has LeakGuard and higher energy efficiency which saves you additional money on energy costs.
